Stylevant operates the website at stylevant.com ("Website") and provides a Chrome Extension application ("Extension"). The Extension is designed to enhance Large Language Model (LLM) prompts inline on third-party platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. Our Website serves as the platform for account creation, subscription management, and informational resources.

2. Data Collection, Use, and Storage

This section details exactly how we collect, handle, and store user data.

Information We Collect

  • Account Information: We collect your Email Address and Name via our authentication providers (e.g., Google Sign-In, Email/Password), managed by Supabase, when you create an account.
  • Prompt Data: We collect specific text data that you actively select and choose to process (e.g., by clicking "Upscale" or "Save") using our Extension. We DO NOT passively collect, store, or monitor your general chat history, browsing activity, or web traffic.
  • Local Storage: We collect and save user preferences (like dark mode) and cached usage quotas directly on your device using Chrome Local Storage. For the Website, we use cookies or similar technologies strictly for authentication sessions.
  • Website Usage Data: On our Website, we use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to collect general usage trends without tracking personal behavior across other sites.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the Service: To enhance the AI prompts you explicitly submit through the Extension.
  • Account Management: To identify you, secure your account, and manage your subscription quotas.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze general website usage trends over time.

How We Store and Handle Your Data

Your data is handled with care. Account identifiers (Name, Email) and saved prompts are transmitted securely via encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS) and are stored securely in databases managed by our trusted third-party provider, Supabase. Local preferences are stored safely on your own device using Chrome's local storage.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your personal data. We only share specific user data with the following third parties strictly to operate our Service:

  • OpenAI: We share the specific prompts you initiate through the Extension with OpenAI to generate the enhanced response. Stylevant does not use your User Data to train AI models, and we have explicitly disabled the sharing of your data for OpenAI's model fine-tuning. Please note that data sent to OpenAI's API may be subject to their standard data retention policies for abuse monitoring.
  • Supabase: We share your Account Information (Name, Email) and saved prompts with Supabase, which provides our secure database hosting and user authentication infrastructure.
  • Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing. Stylevant does not store or process your credit card numbers; this is handled securely and directly by Stripe.
  • Google Analytics: We share anonymized, non-personally identifiable website usage data with Google Analytics to understand website traffic.

We do not share your data with any other parties.

4. Permissions Justification

To function correctly, the Stylevant Chrome Extension requires specific "Host Permissions" for supported AI platforms (e.g., chatgpt.com, claude.ai, perplexity.ai). We request these permissions solely to:

  • Inject the Stylevant toolbar and user interface elements into the page.
  • Read text from and write text to the specific input fields upon your direct request.

We do not use these permissions to track your browsing history across the web or on these specific sites beyond the functional scope of the tool.

5. Data Retention and User Rights

We respect your right to control your data. In compliance with privacy regulations:

Account Deletion and Data Erasure

You have the right to delete your account at any time. This can be done directly through the settings menu in the extension or by contacting support at stylevant@gmail.com.

Effect of Deletion: Upon account deletion, all personal identifiable information (Name, Email, Authentication Records) is permanently removed from our active databases. We do not retain "shadow profiles" or backup copies of this personal data for active use.
